I'm 33 years old man from Quebec, Canada. I'm playing HBD since a while, and I'm still loving it.

2). What are your interests and hobbies?
I like sports like hockey, baseball and football. I like reading fantasy books like Lord of the Rings and Legend of the Seeker. I'm also playing D&D on table top with friends. I'm a gamer.

3). What are your favorite sports teams and which one is #1?
Montreal Canadiens (NHL)
Vancouver Canucks (NHL)
Montreal Expos (When they were in MLB)
Philadelphia Eagles (NFL)

4). Who is your favorite WIS player?
I would say Gene Wise from NCAA world.

5). If you were a player what sport would you play, at what position, and what rating?
I'm playing hockey at any position except goaltender. I prefer left wing or right wing.

6). Best piece of advice for HBD?
Pitching is what you need to win.

7). The most over-rated and under-rated ratings?
I don't know much about the impact of the ratings in the game. I should take a look one day.

8). Favorite and least favorite part of the game?
My favorite part of the game is the regular season itself including the amateur draft.
What I dislike is the spring training and coach signing. If we could give coach multi-years contracts, it would be nice.

9). Who are the owners you respect and/or enjoy the most?
This is a long list, but I'll say hopkinsheel at the top. I'm playing in NCAA since the start of the world and I'm looking forward to play in all his worlds. This guy is an awesome commish.

Almost everyone in hopkinsheel's worlds is fine. I'll add jeanpaul22 to that list. He is my wife's uncle and my real life friend. It's always nice to talk about WIs with him.

10). The thing that may surprise us about you?
Nothing.

Kansas City Wildcats

An upstate (Finger Lakes) New Yorker stuck in Buckeye land.

2). What are your interests and hobbies?
Golf, Bowling, and getting into the home brew thing. And I can't forget the precious time that I spend with my daughter and her interests.

3). What are your favorite sports teams and which one is #1?
Syracuse football/basketball is #1. NY Jets, MY Mets and New Jersey Devils. I really do not like the NBA but do follow any Syracuse grads there.

4). Who is your favorite WIS player?
I have had many. None that I would call my favorite. But if I had to name one, I guess it should be in HBD and would be Bernie Callaspo of my Syracuse Orange Domer squad in Big Sky Alumni. He was my first international free agent signing. He should be a good one.

5). If you were a player what sport would you play, at what position, and what rating?
Well, I stand 6' 4" 241 # and am very fast with my arms and legs. I would be a Defensive end with a rating in the 650's able to play one level below Div 1A. lol.

6). Best piece of advice for HBD?
Pay attention to the seasoned vets. I have actually seen things that I have never understood before more clearly since the start of NCAA II. The way things just shot right off and the moves being made, I was starting to see and understand why they were actually being made.

7). The most over-rated and under-rated ratings?
Over rated for me would be a tie for contact/eye. Under rated, and I just recently learned this is makeup especially with the age of a player.

8). Favorite and least favorite part of the game?
Free agency/trades/draft are my favs. I cant stand coach hirings.

9). Who are the owners you respect and/or enjoy the most?
Too many to list. I enjoy and talk to gmurphy10, marble26 and Arfy the most.

Owners of the AL North

Trenton Scarlet Knights
1). Who is z0601?
Z0601, is a 33 year man who works in TV and loves sports of all kinds. I am married with one on the way which is our first child and he is due at the beginning of May. He will replace our German Shepherd as the "kid" of the house.

2). What are your interests and hobbies?

I am addicted to WIS. I currently have three HD teams and this makes my fifth HBD team. When I am not on WIS I like playing soccer and golf, hanging out with family and friends.

3). What are your favorite sports teams and which one is #1?

I am a big Indianapolis Colts fan as well as Chicago Blackhawks fan. Colts are the top team, although it might be a while before we can claim that in the standings again. Becoming a bigger and bigger hockey fan each season.

4). Who is your favorite WIS player?

Blade Douglas on my Fargo team in another world. Was one of the first players I ever drafted and he is still coming into his own in the ML and it has been great watching him grow.

5). If you were a player what sport would you play, at what position, and what rating?

Since I played soccer in college, I think my skill set would best be transfered to CF in baseball. I would have good range with a super glove and hit for contact and have to beat out throws to first.

6). Best piece of advice for HBD?

Always ask questions and continue learn. I am still learning and making mistakes each season.

7). The most over-rated and under-rated ratings?

Over-rated is health. Have seen way too many guys with health in the 90's have their careers come crashing down. Anymore it seems like it is a crap shoot.

Speed and baserunning. Slow teams stink.

8). Favorite and least favorite part of the game?

I hate ranking my draft.

9). Who are the owners you respect and/or enjoy the most?

Blanch and dedelman game me my first shoots at HBD and for that I am very thankful. I have yet to run into an owner in either NCAA world that wasn't helpful or easy to get along with which makes these worlds so great.

10). The thing that may surprise us about you?

I am not really that big of a baseball fan.

Cincinnati Bearcats
1). Who is mtorabdaddy?

2). What are your interests and hobbies? sports, technology

3). What are your favorite sports teams and which one is #1? Cincinnati Reds, Bengals, Bearcats, Denver Broncos

4). Who is your favorite WIS player?

5). If you were a player what sport would you play, at what position, and what rating? SS or C and I would have a +bat and arm.

6). Best piece of advice for HBD? Trade me all of your prospects! :)

7). The most over-rated and under-rated ratings? Hmm...I would have to say injury (until they get hurt) or perhaps pitch calling for Catchers. I seem to have had some decent success with big bat no field catchers.

8). Favorite and least favorite part of the game? Favorite - trades Least - Coach hiring/waiting for budgets.

9). Who are the owners you respect and/or enjoy the most?
I really enjoy the worlds that Chris runs. Everyone in there is pretty good to deal with and respectful.

10). The thing that may surprise us about you? I am big into tattoos which can sometimes conflict with my professional line of work.

New York Red Storm
1). Who is (Insert name)? cbf88

2). What are your interests and hobbies? Sports and comics

3). What are your favorite sports teams and which one is #1?  Dallas Cowboys #1, Texas Rangers, and Oklahoma City Thunder.

4). Who is your favorite WIS player? Sadie Marshall

5). If you were a player what sport would you play, at what position, and what rating?  Football, rb,backup, punt returner.

6). Best piece of advice for HBD?  Opposite of me

7). The most over-rated and under-rated ratings? overall, health

8). Favorite and least favorite part of the game? Season preseason

9). Who are the owners you respect and/or enjoy the most? MikeT23

10). The thing that may surprise us about you? I hate the cold

Chicago Blue Demons
1). Who is (Insert name)?

-madden0001

2). What are your interests and hobbies?

- Soccer, Golf, Kickball

3). What are your favorite sports teams and which one is #1?

- Penn State (#1), Phillies, Dallas Mavericks, Texas Rangers, LA Galaxy

4). Who is your favorite WIS player?

- Still working on that one. I had a QB I loved in GD back in the day who was 3rd in the nation in rushing in D3 at a QB (don't remember his name anymore). Other than that, maybe Magglio Morales in Long Haul HBD. He was a catcher that had durability of around 50 and still hit about 30-40 HR's a year. More importantly, he was a clutch machine. I have some favorite FCD players that have played with me for 20+ seasons but FCD isn't that popular so it's not worth getting into.

5). If you were a player what sport would you play, at what position, and what rating?

- If it was actual me, I would probably be a LF who would hit about .240/.360 with about 20 power and 90 contact. Of course my LHP/RHP would probably be about 40 at best.... If you're talking what I want to be in my brain, of course I would be Mike Schmidt reincarnate.

6). Best piece of advice for HBD?

- I'm probably not the person to ask. I will say to scour the free agent market after the first big push. There are always great role players you can find for cheap. Also, the international market is critical if you want to be good every year.

7). The most over-rated and under-rated ratings?

- Apparently control is very over-rated. Having a 90+ control guy can easily wind you up with a guy with a 5+ ERA. On the under-rated side, pitch catching and base running are my favorite ratings.

8). Favorite and least favorite part of the game?

- favorite part of the game is free agency, contracts, and waiver wire. Least favorite is setting all the many layers of settings. Forget one and you're in big trouble. (see me messing up my Rule 5 draft settings when I had the #1 pick)

9). Who are the owners you respect and/or enjoy the most?

- I'm still really learning in that category. In FCD, I've played with systemhalter and he's very good. I've played with oso quite a few times in GD and he's very good at building programs. I replaced jketchum and played against him in HBD and he routinely builds good programs quickly. Otherwise, check back with me in 10-15 seasons. :)

10). The thing that may surprise us about you?

- I'm sure there are several things. 1) I'm almost 40. 2) If I could code, I would totally build something like WIS just for the fun of it. 3) I coached soccer for 4 years and look forward to doing it some more.

Owners of the AL West

 Portland Ducks
1). Who is meece? Dan Hubacher

2). What are your interests and hobbies? Watch sports, I golf about 100 rounds a year 19 handicap with a terrible short game. Very active in horse racing is one of my favorite things to watch and dream is one day to own horses.

3). What are your favorite sports teams and which one is #1? Buffalo Sabres #1 followed by the Buffalo Bills and Cincy Reds( I lived in Northen Kentucky for 6 years).

4). Who is your favorite WIS player? Lenny Fassero The only regret I have is that I'll never have won him a ring.

5). If you were a player what sport would you play, at what position, and what rating? Baseball with speed and glove 100% with 0% power very low arm strength

6). Best piece of advice for HBD? Pitching Pitching Pitching

7). The most over-rated and under-rated ratings? Overated has to be eye under-rated I'd go with makeup everyone sees omg this guy is a 90 in 4 areas but has a 20 makeup and will never reach it but in their mind hes a 90.

8). Favorite and least favorite part of the game? Favorite is the draft I'll spend hours making the exact rankings of players I want. Least favorite and its not even close is the coaching hire. Boring as you can get. I wish they would make it more useful I've always wanted a scouting service type hiring. For instance, I could hire a guy who is very good at finding pitching but not at hitters maybe a guy is good at finding talent in south america some in latin america and so on.

9). Who are the owners you respect and/or enjoy the most? in this league? z0601 over at trenton and mexd781 at detroit have had several hours of trade talk in the first 3 days of the league. Hopkins with Charolette is great as welll haven't come across anyone I don't get along with. In other leagues I have people I honestly can't stand.

10). The thing that may surprise us about you?
Nothing that would surpise you, I'm a salesmen for team licensed product so thats why I'm on all day. And that's my shameless plug.

Seattle Huskies
1). Who is jeanpaul22?

2). What are your interests and hobbies? WIS, Dungeons and Dragons, watching hockey and baseball on TV or at the stadium. I also love reading a good book.

3). What are your favorite sports teams and which one is #1? Montral Canadians(hockey) and Baltimore Orioles.

4). Who is your favorite WIS player? Many.

5). If you were a player what sport would you play, at what position, and what rating? Baseball, pitcher.

7). The most over-rated (overall) and under-rated ratings(health)

8). Favorite(draft) and least favorite(coach) part of the game?

Oakland Golden Bears
1). Who is Mr. Stickball (AKA: 'Stick')?

2). What are your interests and hobbies?
Music, Geology, hiking, kayaking, and, er ... baseball!

3). What are your favorite sports teams and which one is #1?
Used to be the Miami Dolphins as I played and really loved football as a kid and into my 20's., However, I finally tired of salary cap/free agency-driven mercenary players and coaches. I call it "The revolving door syndrome". The sport has lost most of it's luster since it now lacks it's former level of consistency and team-building.

About 20 years ago, coincidentally, I started listening to baseball on the radio, and about 5 to 10 years later, MLB surpassed NFL as my favorite. I am a hardcore S.F. Giants fan now, and barely even pay attention to football.

4). Who is your favorite WIS player?

Jose Johnson

In Stickball League, I have a player who hit a ridiculous number of HR's for my Colorado team. He's still on my AAA roster, despite having an overall rating in the low 40's. I can't bear to let him go. I might even call him up when rosters expand. (Sick, isn't it?).

5). If you were a player what sport would you play, at what position, and what rating?

I played quaterback, and, at age 44, still can throw pretty well, although I max out at about 55 to 60 yards these days, and I am pretty sore the next day. I've always been blessed with a strong arm, but I noticed it takes me a lot longer to warm up than it used to! In H.S., I once threw a pass 100 yards (with a strong wind at my back). Not exaggerating. My accuracy was and is still, believe it or not, pretty good, and I have a quick release and can read defenses pretty well. However, despite being able to move around in the pocket pretty well, I am a real lug when it comes to scrambling downfield. Terrible at it really. I'm kind of a Dan Fouts/ Dan Marino type of passer ... good arm, heady kind of QB, with absolutely NO legs! I would love to be able to play football again, it's just way too hard on your knees as you age.

6). Best piece of advice for HBD?

http://hbd-stickball.blogspot.com/p/mrstickballs-advice-for-hbd-newbies.html
(Or, just Google 'Stickball's advice for hbd newbies').

7). The most over-rated and under-rated ratings/

Is it just me, or is Contact way over-rated? I keep signing guys as if Contact matters, but I swear it doesn't seem to really matter much.

On the flip side, I feel like many owners don't give Groundball/Flyball enough credence ... that and Pitch #2 should be above at least 66. I see it all the time that pitchers with otherwise good ratings get used all the time and never have good ERA's. A flyball pitcher with no movement on his pitches is a bad thing.

8). Favorite and least favorite part of the game?

Beginning of the season is so action-packed ... it's almost TOO much. Playoffs are a real drag if you aren't in them ... especially knowing that there is also a rollover period to wait out.

9). Who are the owners you respect and/or enjoy the most?

I have made a ton of HBD friends over the years. Tough to nail down just a few. In this league, I am particularly fond of McBain. A true gentleman and a helluva competitor.

10). The thing that may surprise us about you?

I just re-read the above, and I hope I'm not as egotistical as I seem in these answers. ;0)))

Good luck to everybody, I hope we all stick with our franchises for many seasons, it would be great to be in another league with consistency. I have an ongoing waiting list for MY league, Stickball League, if you are interested in another league with dedicated owners. We do, occasionally, have openings, despite having a core group that is awesome. I'd be happy to keep you in mind on a first come, first serve basis. Just Sitemail me if interested in getting on the list.

Play ball!!!

Salem Beavers
1). Who is gmurphy10? Greg Murphy

2). What are your interests and hobbies?  I'm an avid bowler. I also like collecting all types of sports cards.

3). What are your favorite sports teams and which one is #1?  Pro.......MLB-Atlanta Braves. NFL-Carolina Panthers NBA-Atlanta Hawks NHL-Colorado Avalanche

4). Who is your favorite WIS player?  If you mean a player in the game I have 3...I renamed an OL on my Indiana State team I renamed for my wife. (Angie Goat) I renamed a LB on my Ouachita Baptist team for my daughter. (Dess Murphy) And finally, as really the best player I have had.....Lewis Frederick, RB TSU. In the new age of no rushing he ran for 4036 yds in season 74 in Wilkinson.

5). If you were a player what sport would you play, at what position, and what rating?  I would play baseball. I'd be a pitcher in the majors and be at least an All Star.

6). Best piece of advice for HBD?  Take the time to check out what the best owners are doing budget wise. And don't be afraid to try something new. If it works...great. If not....back to the drawing board.

7). The most over-rated and under-rated ratings?  I'm not really sure about this one.

8). Favorite and least favorite part of the game?  My favorite part is the drafts. Least....hiring coaches!

9). Who are the owners you respect and/or enjoy the most?  There are many. playboy33 helped me when I started and got me into HBD. camden68 is by far the funniest I've met. There's no telling what he may post.

10). The thing that may surprise us about you?  Someone told me that by looking at me that they wouldn't think I could bowl well at all. But I actually hold a 2-3 record against PBA members that have appeared in TV finals.

Top Hitting Prospects

Top Hitting Prospects ($14M ADV Scouting)
Players are listed in no specific order

Arthur Nelson (Charlotte Tar Heels; 21 yr. old; C; AAA) - Nice thing about Nelson is that he has the defense to play catcher so that he can stay in the NL for the Tar Heels.  Great power and vL, good vR and eye and above average contact.  Also has good stamina for the catcher position.

Gerrit Cornelius (Columbus Buckeyes; 25 yr. old LF; AAA) - Don't see Gerrit staying in the minors very long.  He projects to great power, vL, and eye and good vR and contact.  Also has some very good speed although with as many home runs as he could hit, he may not need it.

Patsy Dixon (Detroit Wolverines; 21 yr. old DH; AAA) - Nice thing for NL teams is we probably won't have to worry about Dixon, he'll be looking to move to an AL team and with his bat I would imagine sooner rather than later.  Projects to great power, vL, vR, and eye with above average contact.  Good stamina along with high makeup and he'll be in the race for hitting records for quite some time.

Joaquin Navarro (Detroit Wolverines; 21 yr. old SS; AA) - Don't see this Wolverine moving to the AL or anywhere.  He has the projections to possibly play SS and a great bat for that position with great power and good contact, vL, vR and eye.  Nice stamina, health and decent speed makes him a franchise type player.

Bobby Clayton (Durham Blue Devils; 22 yr. old SS; Rookie) - Another possibly SS player with a outstanding bat.  Great power and vR along with good contact, vL and eye for his bat with amazing spped and stamina that could see him play all 162 games.  Clayton looks to be the building piece for the Blue Devils.

Julio Zapata (Iowa City Hawkeyes; 25 yr. old C; AA) - Julio also has the defense to play C which should keep him in the NL.  Projects to great vL, vR, contact and eye.  Has the lowest power out of this group of hitters but has everything else to make him dangerous at the plate.

Pepe Cordero (Los Angeles Bruins; 22 yr. old LF; AAA) - Another play I don't expect to be in the minors long, Cordero projects to great contact, power and vL while good vR and above average eye.  His makeup is low but his bat is already there and ready for ML pitching.

Rube Caruso (New York Red Storm; 20 yr. old LF; AA) - Projects to great contact, power, vL and eye with good vR.  Should put up solid numbers but his low stamina will keep his plate appearances lower than the rest of these guys.

Charlie McMillan (Oakland Golden Bears; 20 yr. old 1B; High A) - Outstanding contact and vR along with great eye and good power and vL.  Not much to dislike about this young player with great stamina to play nearly all season and above average speed.

Julio Andujar (Richmond Cavaliers; 22 yr. old LF; AA) - Projects to great power and vR along with good contact, vL and eye.  Got some developing to do but if he gets close to his projections he'll be a great #3 hitter.

P. T. Villafuerte (Salem Beavers; 21 yr. old 3B; Rookie) - Probably closer to a RF defensively but won't matter with his bat.  Great power vL and vR along with above average eye.  Does have average contact but still high enough to be a force at the plate.

Kelvin Craig (Seattle Huskies; 23 yr. old 1B; AA) - Outstanding vL and eye with great power and good contact and vR.  His bat is ready for the ML already so will depend on how long Seattle plans on keeping him in the minors before he's off this list.

Takuya Yang (Syracuse Orange; 20 yr. old 3B; Rookie) - Outstanding vR, great power and vL with good eye.  Lower contact like Villafuerte but still high enough to be placed on this list with his other numbers.

Brandon Maroth (Trenton Scarlet Knights; 19 yr. old 2B; Rookie) - Outstanding power, great vR and good vL and eye with slightly above average contact.  High stamina will get him a good number of plate apperances for the Knights.

AL Organizational Analysis Per Team

AL North
Chicago Blue Demons – Owner madden0001, committed payroll $35.4M; Draft Pick #1
AL teams like great hitters and the Blue Demons land one with 26 yr. old RF Courtney D’Amico. He’ll put up great numbers at the plate and has some speed as well. He’ll be joined soon by 26 yr. old 3B prospect John Benes in AAA.

Cincinnati Bearcats – Owner mtorabdaddy, committed payroll $51.8M; Draft Pick #7
SP Alex Yamamoto looks to be a great pitcher, although reports are out that he’s being shopped to teams that are looking for SP although they do have 20 yr. old SP prospect Patrick Nicholson waiting in AAA.

Trenton Scarlet Knights – Owner z0601, committed payroll $21.9; Draft Pick #12
With the lowest committed payroll in all of NCAA II, the Scarlet Knights can choose which route they want to take. They have some nice pitching with Bennie Sewell, Delino Peron, and Dave Ross and are rumored to be shopping some arms for some bats. They have that ability with Ken Nix, Edgargo Soto, and Rich Small waiting in AAA.

New York Red Storm – Owner cbf88, committed payroll $47.5M; Draft Pick #25
New York lands 26 yr. old RF Chun-Lim Yang and 24 yr. old 3B Scott Franklin to provide offense at the ML level. Cesar Carrara, Ezdra Valdes, and Ed Koplove are all waiting in AAA to help with the pitching.

AL East
Syracuse Orange – Owner joekendall, committed payroll $41M; Draft Pick #31
Great hitters keep popping up in the AL and Syracuse lands one on their roster with 27 yr. old 1B Miguel Gonzalez who’s worst rating for his bat is 77. Bullpen arms Tom Simpson and Davy Branson will help lock down games in the 8th and 9th innings.

Richmond Cavaliers – Owner Brisque, committed payroll $39.7M; Draft Pick #
The Cavaliers find themselves a couple of good hitters on the roster with 30 yr. old CF (2B) Davey Alvarez and DH Yamil Rodriguez.

Boston College Eagles – Owner gdfan, committed payroll $36.9M; Draft Pick #14
If any team is wondering why they don’t have more bats, blame BC. They’ve got 4 great hitters in Sandy DePaula (27 yr. old, 1B), Kevin McCallum (27, RF), Hick Weeks (31, C), and Don Kendall (30, 2B). Might be the best 4 hitters on any team so far; I expected their pitching to be bad but it’s decent. Not any #1 stud but gdfan has to be happy.

Pittsburgh Panthers – Owner ajwalton, committed payroll $56.9M; Draft Pick #20
Just when I open my mouth about BC’s hitters, I look at the Panther’s lineup; Glenn Thompson (33, RF), Ernesto Tarasco (27, 2B/CF), Lance Lewis (26, 1B), Derrick Ruffin (33, DH/1B), and Cutter Ramsay (25, CF). Not only that but they have Ricardo Perez (28) and Diory Aviles (29) in the starting rotation along with a nice arm in Kenneth Beamon in the bullpen; although last reports say that both SP are being shopped for comparable lefties or high end prospects.

AL South
Wichita Jayhawks – Owner sirius07, committed payroll $51.7M; Draft Pick #23
One of the better hitting SS, although he may play 3B, players in 31 yr. old Luis Hernandez and C/DH Dolf Sparks makes for a nice 1, 2 punch. Harry Romero looks to be the #1 arm on the roster.

Kansas City Wildcats – Owner displacednyr, committed payroll $41.1M; Draft Pick #8
The Wildcats might not have the power hitters the AL likes, but they’ve got 2 nice hitters in 23 yr. old 1B Yorvit Perez and 28 yr. old LF Shawn Gagnon. 26 yr. old 2B prospect may get the call-up to help out with the power hitting.

Texas A&M Aggies – Owner tbone66, committed payroll $45.5M; Draft Pick #2
The Aggies also find themselves with a couple of nice hitters in 31 yr. old LF Alex Pfeffer and 23 yr. old LF/RF Jack Laker and then got a nice SP in 27 yr. old Aramis Valdes.

Austin Longhorns – Owner Iceman67, committed payroll $51.9M; Draft Pick #13
Texas might have one of the better hitting lineups as well with Ted Halman (27, DH), Einar Galvez (33, SS), Shannon McCartin (26, CF), and Brian Sheffield (32, CF). Couple of good arms with George Strange and Wolf Harvey as well on the ML roster. If that’s not bad enough they have some good prospects on the AAA roster as well.

AL West
Oakland Golden Bears – Owner mr_stickball, committed payroll $58.4; Draft Pick #3
Owner mr_stickball publicly commented that he’d loved having the #3 pick in the draft along with the team he inherited. He’s got some nice hitters in Fred Buchholz (28, 3B), Rafael Oliva (28, RF), and Willie Berroa (33, C/DH). He might have the best 5 man rotation in all of NCAA II with Shep Daniels, Kevin Glauber, Derrek Rossy, J.D. Mecir, and Nick Moore. With his SP and hitters I have to agree that having the #3 pick as well would be nice.

Seattle Huskies – Owner jeanpaul22, committed payroll $46.3M; Draft Pick #16
33 yr. old RF Darren Burks highlights the hitters for Seattle while Tony Lind and Albert Gandarilla will help in the bullpen at the end of games. DH Dick Nielsen and Setup Pitcher Doc Rooney wait in AAA.

Salem Beavers – Owner gmurphy10, committed payroll $46.1M; Draft Pick #30
Salem won’t be hurting with bat in the AL either as they end up with Stan Pearce (28, LF/1B), Dave Daniels (24, 3B), and Kevin Cameron (29, CF/2B) on their lineup. They also manage to get Rodney Jacome (27) and Henderson Blair (30) for their 1, 2 in the starting rotation. Prince Sheehan and Benny Cortes should get the call-up in AAA for the pitching staff as well.

Portland Ducks – Owner meece, committed payroll $48.8M; Draft Pick #22
26 yr. old CF Ron Fitzgerald highlights the hitters for the Ducks on the ML level while 23 yr. old Charles Kingston looks to be the closer. Kingston looks to be joined soon by Grant Brown, Bryant Peterson, Dennis Shigetoshi, and Denny Nixon from AAA.

NL Organizational Analysis Per Team

Big Thanks for tk21775 for putting this together...talk about quick work. Hope you all enjoy, its a great read! AL on the way.

Welcome to S1 of NCAA II!!!! The first couple of days should be a whirlwind of trading as teams start to begin shaping their franchise in the direction they have decided. While some teams have already committed to the direction they plan, others we’ll find out after budgets are set. Either way, look to a lot of movement on day 1 but for now let’s take a look at the teams as they were originally structured. Good luck to all in S1

NL North
Detroit Wolverines – Owner mexd781, committed payroll $33.751M; Draft Pick #26
The Wolverines land a very nice 2B and got lucky that he only bats left but throws right in Andre Kerr. The 24 year old already projects to 91 overall, has the defense, stamina, health, speed and bat to make him their franchise player to build around. They also grabbed a power hitting RF, possibly LF/1B, in 30 year old Benito Wilfredo who will be dominate against left handed pitching and will be able to hold his own against righties. Wilfredo is arb-eligible this year though and comes with a hefty price tag although I think he’s worth it.

Iowa City Hawkeyes – Owner daddiothree, committed payroll $52.7M; Draft Pick #21
Another team that landed a nice 2B, Preston Holmes shows 100 power-rating which may allow owner daddiothree to play him at 2B depending on his defense and get by with it. Henry Ransom also is slotted to play 2B but looks to be more of a LF type player. The Hawkeyes also got a nice few arms for the starting rotation and bullpen.

Columbus Buckeyes – Owner anml34, committed payroll $55.8M; Draft Pick #11
The Buckeyes end up with 33 yr. old RP Yunesky Martin, who looks like he’ll be able to lock down the 9th inning for the Buckeyes. They also land a nice 3B player in 29 yr. old Esmailyn Solano whose bat will help them this season. I would imagine 25 yr. old LF Gerrit Cornelius who has a great bat will be called up from AAA this season as well.

Scranton Nittany Lions – Owner rcktchamp, committed payroll $49.5M; Draft Pick #4
While the Nittany Lions haven’t had much good news to talk about in the press recently, this should change with the team ending up with 31 year old 3B Santiago Soria who looks to be their best hitter. Hal Jones (2B) and Benny Borges (LF) look to bring some power to the lineup.

NL East
Charlotte Tar Heels – Owner hopkinsheel, committed payroll $50.8M; Draft Pick #9
Already committed to rebuilding, the Tar Heels haven’t placed Ken Powell, their 25 year old CF on the trade block. Looks like they may be building around this franchise player who is already showing 90+ in contact, power and vL. Their two best pitchers, Alex Romero and Rheal Rigdon both however are on the trading block. Having 21 yr. old Arthur Nelson (C) doesn’t hurt to have in AAA either.

Baltimore Terrapins – Owner mcgupp, committed payroll $53.4M; Draft Pick #29
The Terrapins might have landed the best SP in NCAA II when they found 32 yr. old SP Miguel Lira on their roster. He’s under contract with Baltimore for 2 seasons and I’m going to predict he wins S1 and S2 Cy Young awards even only being 1 ½ divisions through. Will Park, 29 year old CF, looks to bolster the offense and I can see Sherman Lake, 29 yr. old C in AAA, to be called up to help out Park.

Durham Blue Devils – Owner ghutton9, committed payroll $50.6M; Draft Pick #32
The Blue Devils have a great hitter in 32 yr. old 1B player Carlos Gabriel who doesn’t look to have many flaws with his bat. They also have a great #1 SP in Ron Ford who looks to give Lira a challenge for the Cy Young but word on the street is that Ford is on the trade block. Hideo Park, 21 yr old SS prospect, looks like he could get called up this season to play 3B/RF as his bat is ready.

Atlanta Yellow Jackets – Owner dgtrache, committed payroll $46.7M; Draft Pick #18
Atlanta had to be happy to see 23 yr old Daniel Ray Courtney on their ML roster when teams came out. He looks to be more of a RF at the moment but has the youth and pro years to still grow, although his bat is already dangerous. 27 yr. old LF, Yonder Melo, will not give pitchers a rest either when he gets to the plate. Salvador Freeman looks to be the #1 SP in Atlanta’s rotation and for good reason while Trent Johnston might get the call up from AAA yet.

NL South
Jackson Rebels – Owner coachsimon, committed payroll $46.3M; Draft Pick #5
The Rebels find a great hitter in 25 yr. old 1B Kevin Sample on their team, who will give them a great bat. A couple of good closer on the ML roster should help out 26 yr. old SP Henderson Johnston who I don’t see spending much time in AAA.

Montgomery Crimson Tide – Owner abesmem, committed payroll $46.2M; Draft Pick #19
Mario Isringhausen, 27 yr old LF looks to be the hitter in the Crimson Tide’s lineup, along with power hitting John Roosevelt.

Little Rock Razorbacks – Owner drichar138, committed payroll $46.2M; Draft Pick #6
The Razorbacks landed one of the best hitters in NCAA II with Darby Bukvich. While his makeup is 0 like owner drichar pointed out, he’s a best at the plate and at 29 I think he’ll produce for the length of his contract. He should be putting up the offense leaderboard numbers although they’ll be surpassed later on since he won’t perform at this level for long enough.

NL West
Los Angeles Bruins – Owner mamidu, committed payroll $55.3M; Draft Pick #27
Not sure which player to name as I see quite a few number of decent bats in this lineup. Otis Dickey looks to be a force against left-handed pitchers while Carmine Jackson (26 yr. old, LF) and Kane Williams (26 yr. old, SS although probably 3B) will help at the plate as well. 22 yr. old Pepe Cordero could get called up from AAA to play 1B or LF with his bat as well.

Arizona State Sun Devils – Owner train, committed payroll $48.2M; Draft Pick #15
The owner who had to be sweating out the rosters the most as he seems to get the shaft in the last two worlds, he had to love seeing Wallace Crabtree’s bat only to grimace as he saw the defense. AL teams should be jumping over this guy though so I expect owner train to move him (he’s on the trading block) for some good talent better suited in the NL. SP Matt Coleman (35 yr. old) could help as well but rumors are he’s being shopped as well. Since I’ve found two nice players on the Sun Devils team I have to think that train has received a better team than the last two.

Colorado Buffaloes – Owner cctigerfan, committed payroll $35.3M; Draft Pick #28
Colorado loves the long ball but 29 yr. old Juan Sierra, SS, might change that for them. He won’t hit too many deep but he’s got a great bat and the defensive ratings needed to play the SS position. Adam Clayton, 24 yr. old 3B, will love playing in Colorado with his 94 power. Expect him to put up great numbers and he’s still developing. 24 yr. old C prospect Yonder Perez and 23 yr. old SP Ruben Perez (Still determining if they are related or not) should be called up from AAA this year to help out.

Anaheim Trojans – Owner mcbain10, committed payroll $36.6M; Draft Pick #10
Another great hitter found in the NL, this time with 26 yr. old LF/RF Shawn White looks to get help with AAA 3B prospect Arthur Guerrero. 32 yr. old Bunny Mathews looks to help lockdown the closer role for the Trojans.
